Alternative Schools are provided to individual school districts, or to coalitions of regional districts. They are targeted to behaviorally disruptive youth and can accommodate a wide range of problematic behavior due to a creative mix of programs and very competent staff. They are not schools for those with severe mental health issues or heavily substance dependent youth. Students who thrive in our schools are those who need more individual attention, creative outlets for energy, motivational encouragement, as well as nurturing and boundaries within a structured environment.

In addition, school districts can purchase more specific services to compliment their district’s educational services. These include: casework and group counseling; alternative suspension programs (ASP) which substitute community service activities for out-of-school suspensions; and adventure programming which can travel to school sites by use our mobile low ropes course and climbing wall, and cooperative challenge games. Or, the schools can contract for groups to come to one of our regional Adventure Learning Centers. Districts often send groups, such as emotional support groups, every week to the adventure center for therapeutic activities.
